On Monday 13th February we launched Fighting Fund Appeal to help Boris Johnson win the London Mayoral election – which takes place on 3rd May 2012.
The stakes at this London election have never been higher, and this election is going to be very close.
Can you make a donation to help Boris win again?
Unlike Ken Livingstone and Labour’s campaign which is backed by £millions from trade unions, our local campaign relies entirely on voluntary donations from people like you.
We have set ourselves a target of raising £100,000 – the amount we need to raise locally to compete with Labour’s union backers.
This election is a choice between Ken Livingstone, who is divisive, breaks his promises, increases taxes and would let the union bosses who fund his campaign call the shots at City Hall and Boris Johnson, who has kept his promises and put 1,000 more police on the street, cutting crime by 10% and frozen his share of council tax every year, cutting it this year.
When Boris was elected in 2008, he promised to work day and night to turn things around; working with all of Greater London’s boroughs and Londoners, whatever their background or politics. As a result:
Crime is down by 10%. Bus crime is down by 30%. There will be 1,000 more police on the streets and a million extra patrols a year by May 2012. Council tax has been frozen every year. Billions are being invested in transport, creating 32,000 jobs and the Olympic facilities have been delivered on time and under budget.
Together we can help Mayor Boris Johnson continue to move London forward with positive plans to keep cutting crime, keep council tax low, protect investment in transport infrastructure, make the Olympics a success and grow Greater London’s economy.
I hope you can make a donation today to help us help Boris.
