James Husband - Abingdon

Since being elected James Husband has represented and assisted residents, residents’ associations and local businesses in all their dealings with the council, in particular in relation to planning and the quality of our streets and rubbish collection.

He was part of the team that founded the Chelsea Academy and promoted the creation of a new primary school in Warwick Road which is due to open in 2016.

Working with fellow councillors, James has both served on the planning committee and also represented residents either making or objecting to planning applications. Recently, he has been involved in the formulation of the Council’s proposed policy to control the creation of mega basements.

In 2010/2011 he served as Mayor of the Royal Borough.

Before being elected James Husband worked in the Gilt and the Yen denominated bond markets. He lives locally with my wife, Munna, a translator, and is an active member and supporter of ESSA and other local residents’ associations.vvvv
