Acoustic Camera Being Installed

The Council has piloted the first acoustic cameras in Britain, so that we can enforce against noisy vehicles.

Two cameras went up for three months in Knightsbridge last year, resulting in more than 150 fines and zero repeat offenders.

We know that revving engines continue to cause severe disruption in the area. That is why we are working hard to secure an agreement from TfL to install more cameras in the Borough. Our Councillors have been hard at work meeting with TfL to secure these changes. We've also been working to reduce speeding with new traffic-calming initiatives to be completed over the coming months, generously funded by residents.
