South Kensington Station Development

Thursday, 3 March, 2022
South Kensington Tube Station

The Council has rejected TfL's planning application for the South Kensington re-development. The proposal was too large in scale, would have ruined our conservation area and we were very pleased to defeat it. Over 2,000 residents objected to the application, as well as your local Conservative councillors, Kensington MP Felicity Buchan and every residents' association in the area. We helped residents prepare and present the winning arguments at the Council's Planning Committee - the culmination of many months' work and effort by a dedicated team of residents and local councillors. The Council is reviewing options to install disabled access to the station in future separately to any re-development.
